PROXART is a food supplement of Biotin, L-Lysine, L-Glycine with hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulfate, glucosamine sulfate, ornithine α-ketoglutarate and Boswellia fitosoma®. indicated to provide an additional supply of these nutrients in case of deficiency or increased need.
Biotin contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system; Boswellia can promote joint function and counteract localized states of tension.
Components and characteristics
Boswellia fitosoma®: Boswellia serrata is described as a cure with powerful anti-inflammatory activity. The boswellic acids hinder the functioning of an enzyme capable of stimulating the production of substances that facilitate inflammatory processes (it seems to inhibit the arachidonic acid cascade). Furthermore, they are able to inhibit elastases, highly destructive enzymes that attack and destroy the elastic tissue of tissues in which an inflammatory process is taking place. It is hypothesized that boswellic acids intervene at the site of inflammation by inhibiting tissue proliferation and destruction of connective tissue. This specific mechanism makes Boswellia an effective alternative to synthetic molecules in inflammatory treatments, especially if prolonged or in chronic states. This form of conveyance of the extract also makes it even more bioavailable and therefore effective.
Ornithine α-ketoglutarate: it is the metabolically more active form of ornithine, a non-essential but important amino acid in the biochemical processes of arginine synthesis. It plays a fundamental role in the energy and detoxification processes of muscle tissue.
Glucosamine sulfate: it is an amino-sugar normally present in our body. It is a “brick” fundamental for the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans and ultimately of cartilage tissue. It also performs a good anti-inflammatory action.
Chondroitin sulfate: it is one of the main glycosaminoglycans that make up cartilages. It contributes to the elasticity of the cartilage and determines a progressive minor degradation. It acts synergistically with glucosamine sulfate.
Hyaluronic acid: in addition to being one of the main constituents of connective tissue, it acts as a lubricating component of synovial fluid and cartilage as it lays in a conformation such that it is able to collect significant amounts of water.
L-Lysine: is an essential amino acid found in many food sources. It appears to be indispensable in tissue repair processes in fact it stimulates the formation of collagen and tissue healing. It also promotes the formation of muscle proteins especially after injuries after competitive activities or surgery.
L-Glycine: it is an amino acid that makes up about a third of the collagen therefore it becomes of fundamental importance to take this amino acid to restore the correct tropism of this tissue.
Biotin: or vitamin H, belongs to the class of water-soluble vitamins of group B and contains sulfur. It plays a very important role as a metabolic cofactor in numerous biochemical processes in our body.
